Lorenzo Rovero farm

In Sostegno, an altitude between 400 and 500 meters, the company was born in 2014, with the recovery of vines left with chestnut and acacia poles, to which new plants were added, removed from the forest, for a total of almost 3 hectares of certified organic vineyard.
The soils of volcanic origin, dry and acid, resulting from the collapse of the caldera of the Supervulcano of Valsesia, give the interesting minerality of the typical wines of Upper Piedmont.
The DOC of reference is Bramaterra, whose composition includes four grape varieties: Nebbiolo at 70%, Croatina at 20%, Vespolina and Uva rara at 10%. The aging of the wine takes place in oak barrels for at least 36 months, with final refinement in the bottle.
The treatments are strictly biological as well as the fight against new insects is conducted only with mechanical methods, excluding any chemical product.
The aging of DOC and red wines is carried out in barriques, tonneaux and oak barrels, while white and “orange” wines are stored before bottling in steel, in acacia barriques or terracotta amphora.
Our natural wines are born:
– from grassy vines without using synthetic fertilizers, respecting the vine and its natural cycles;
– from healthy grapes and musts to which neither sulfur dioxide nor other additives are added, using only native yeasts and excluding selected yeasts;
– with the use of small stainless steel tanks and with temperature control during fermentation and in the racking phases to eliminate any filtration, maintaining all the vitality of the wines produced.
