The emotions offered by the Alpe Moncerchio Farmhouse start already from the path to reach it: two kilometers of easy walk, which unfolds among lush meadows and splendid views, practicable as well as on foot, with MTB or on horseback and,
in winter, with snowshoes.
The current farmhouse, renovated in the nineties, has a restaurant and a beautiful panoramic terrace.
Their special menu is the board with their cheeses and cold cuts, accompanied by traditional jams and sauces, and of
course the polenta alongside their own fresh and cured meats.
The building, very typical and welcoming, has 4 rooms with bathroom for a total of 14 beds for guests.

The mountain facility is a cell of the Biellese Ecomuseum and offers to visitors demonstrations about cheese production Maccagn’. The processing of this product takes place without the use of any type of additive or ferment, defined “raw milk”, this method of very ancient cheese making consists in processing fresh milk, trying to exploit the milking temperature (37 °) . In addition to cheese, the company produces salami from bull and goat, mocetta, pancetta, lardo; the meat of excellent quality of pork and goat is zero Km.
The Moncerchio alpine pasture is also equipped with a teaching room that enhances mountain life, the needs of shepherds
and livestock and which illustrates the life of a protagonist of the territory: the Carabus Olympiae, the rare iridescent beetle, protected species and symbol of the Zegna Oasis.
Traditionally the ascent of the mountain pasture takes place at the end of May with the transhumance, while the return to the valley takes place in autumn, in October.
